Austin's Makerspace
Built for Women, Nonbinary Makers, & Allies
You're a Maker. This is your Space.
Make at Rosie is a community makerspace — think fiber arts club on a Thursday, laser cutting on a Tuesday, and a lot of people cheering each other on in between. We built this place for women, nonbinary makers, and allies who want somewhere to learn a new skill, finally finish that project sitting in the closet, and find their people while they do it.
Whether you're coming for one class or making this your regular studio, we're glad you're here.
Three Ways In
Come to a Monthly Meet Up
No membership, no commitment — just come make something.
We run themed events every month: craft nights, journaling, fiber arts club. No membership required. Come craft with us, or just pop in to see the space.
Do I need to know how to do this already? Nope — meetups are come-as-you-are. If it needs a tool you haven't used, someone there will show you.
Book a Free Tour
No pressure, just a walk through and a chance to ask questions.
Come see the space, meet us, ask questions, see all the shiny craft supplies, lasers, and more. If you fall in love with the place, we can usually follow your tour right up with a new member orientation — no need to come back twice.
What if I don't know what I'd even use? That's exactly what the tour's for. And a heads up — we're not a walk-in space, so tours and visits are always booked ahead. Takes thirty seconds.
Become a Member
Orientation is about 30 minutes, and then the space is yours on your own schedule.
Ready to dive in? Book your new member orientation (and tool training, if you already know you want the Glowforge or the woodshop). We'll walk you through the facility, cover member agreements and safety values, and show you how the booking system, access codes, and equipment work.
Can I combine my tour and orientation? Yes — say so when you book and we'll fold your tool training into that same visit instead of making you come back twice.
Questions? We've Got You.
Is this really for me if I've never made anything before?
Yes. Every tool — the Glowforge, the 3D printer, the woodshop, the sewing machines — comes with free training built into membership. Nobody expects you to already know how.
Is Make At Rosie only for women?
It's built for women, nonbinary makers, and allies. If that's you, you're welcome here.
What can I actually make there?
Laser-cut wood and acrylic jewelry and signage, 3D-printed whatever-you-can-dream-up, woodshop projects, sewn and embroidered pieces, vinyl and heat-transfer stuff for shirts and totes. Explore the space and tools →
Do I have to become a member to try it out?
No — monthly meetups and the free tour are open with no membership required. Membership is for when you're ready to book a station on your own schedule.
How much does membership cost?
Memberships start at $45/month (3 visits) and go up from there depending on how much access and storage you want — no contracts, cancel anytime. See all membership tiers →
