Join us Wednesdays in October and take your knitting game to the next level! In this three-week series, you'll master the art of crafting cozy, custom-fit socks that'll knock your (handmade) socks off!
This class is perfect for knitters who already have the basics down. If you’re comfortable with knit/purl stitches and know your way around increasing and decreasing, you’re ready to dive in. We’ll guide you through the sock-knitting journey using the magic loop technique, so you can create seamless socks that fit like a dream.
Here’s what you can expect:
Week 1 - 10/2 Toes: We’ll start at the very beginning, focusing on creating a perfect toe for your sock. You’ll learn how to shape the toe to suit your style and fit, setting the foundation for your project.
Week 2 - 10/9 Heel: The heel can be tricky, but we’ve got you covered. We’ll explore different heel techniques, ensuring your socks are as comfortable as they are stylish.
Week 3 - 10/16 Cuff: Finish strong with a snug, stretchy cuff that keeps your socks in place. We’ll show you how to add that final touch to complete your sock masterpiece.
A few things to note before you join:
This class meets weekly for three weeks (10/2, 10/9, 10/16). Each ticket provides entry to all three classes. If you miss a class, you will still receive the notes.
You’ll need to come prepared with your materials.
1 Skein Sock Weight Yarn (100 grams)
1 pair of circular needles 32”, 40”, or 60” length and the correct size for your yarn.
To make sure you’re ready to roll, please have your yarn wound into two separate cakes or balls (50 grams each). This will help you jump right into the fun stuff without missing a beat.
Whether you’re knitting for yourself or someone special, this class will help you create socks that are as unique as you are. By the end of the course, you’ll have a pair of socks (or two!) that you can proudly wear, gift, or show off to your fellow makers.
